MacBook Pro Back Skins are installed similar to MacBook Air Skins
Repairing Corner Wrinkles
Instructions:
Installations may be considered moderate to difficult.
Please clean the areas thoroughly with alcohol to ensure a great contact with our Skins.
Back Skin:
• Peel the wax paper off the skin and reapply the wax paper 1 inch below the top line of the Skin. (the pattern side of the Skin should be resting on the table)
This allows you to position the mid to lower section of the Skin, without accidentally sticking.
• Then with a pencil or sharp object, poke a hole at the apple cutout and tear the wax paper so that you can see completely thru the apple. (small circle, about 2 to 3 inches)
This allows you to position the apple cutout.
• Now apply the Skin while centering the apple and the top border. The top 1 inch should stick and be pressed with your hands.
This allows the skin to stay in contact.
You can reposition if necessary (please remove carefully).
• Next lift the rest of the from the wax paper, eliminate the wax paper and slowly lower the rest of the skin to the surface and press with your hands.
If your corners are rough and wrinkled, you can use a hair dryer to heat the corners and press.
Keyboard Skin:
• Peel off the mouse cover and place it on the wax paper of the back skin. It is optional, can be used to cover the mouse area.
• Peel the wax paper off the skin and reapply 2 inch below the top line of the Skin. Do not peel off the clear transfer tape on the top surface of the Skin!
The clear transfer tape is necessary, so that the thin top bridge of the Skin (above the keyboard) does not get stretched.
• Then apply top section (2 inch area where the adhesive is exposed). Be sure to center and leave an equal border around the areas. Certain Skin may
or may not have mics or power buttons.
• Next lift the Skin starting from the bottom (off of the wax paper) and slide the wax paper right below the "space" keyboard button.
• Then while holding the Skin from the lower corners, slowly lower the Skin and press the sides. The only section of the Skin that should stick to the laptop
should be the sides of the keyboard area. The lower half should be resting on the wax paper.
• Next, like the last step, lift the rest of the Skin, and eliminate the wax paper and position and place the lower section while centering the mouse area.
• Finally remove the clear transfer tape.
Bottom Skin:
• Like above, peel the wax paper off the bottom Skin and place it below the 2 large circles. (the hinged area where the screen pivots is the starting area)
• Now postion and apply the top section. Be sure to center the 2 large circles and the border.
• Finally lift the Skin off the wax paper, and lay the Skin centering the 2 large lower circles. Be careful not to pull the corners too hard. Then the rest of the
circles will not align correctly.
